Coming out to block angles is one thing, but aggressively attacking the puck when the shooter is looking down sometimes works.

#3The nit wit went right into him, I watched vid 7 times and I would of swept around goaltender and had easy empty netter. The player wanted to hot dog.
If you do the math there is no difference whether you charge offensive player or stay home in creaseComment -

#4Seems that proper goalie defense has been a hot topic here at SBR. A few different views on the proper fundamentals....I have to believe Nicky would have the most knowledge on the topic...but JJ is not going down easy.Comment -

#5slicker,
coming out that much is of course not right.. but coming out 2 or 3 feet to challenge him is the right move.. staying inside your crease?? i swear.. if JJ stayed inside his crease on 10 breakaways.. i swear.. i'd score a minimum of 8 or 9... i'd have the whole net to shoot at.. the only way i'd miss is if i miss wide, or hit the post/crossbar. which i wont..Comment -
