Ray Allen will replace Mike Miller.
I can't see Miller playing anymore.
Didn't the Heat try to get Allen a couple years ago?

Good fit for Allen
Can you imagine him in the wing wide open all the time?

Chauncey Billups is a free agent, and I think he would be a perfect fit at PG for Miami. Miami would finally have someone to take a big shot......Billups can shoot the three, he certainly has plenty of experience, and you won't have to worry about him shining away from the big moment. Nash is clearly the better player than Billups at this point, but I think Billups fits better with the Heat. Nash needs the ball more in his hands to be productive, whereas Chauncey plays fine off the ball. And he can play a bit more defense than Nash.

actually now that i think of it, it is a perfect fit
lebron, wade and even bosh command double teams so ray can get wide open looks for 3 just like battier, chalmers and miller did

Nash and Allen going to the heat reeks of the 04 lakers with Malone and Payton
Great on paper but just a miserable fit as a team. Nash is useless without the ball in his hands and if he's controlling the ball then Lebron and wade aren't as good.
As much as it pains me to say it chalmers really isn't a bad fit for this team. Allen would be a good guy off the bench but they could stand to use some beef up front...if they really need anything.

i made a thread that if okc was smart they'd move westbrook to the 2 and bring in nash.
nash won't sign with the heat. chalmers will never be benched. nash would disgrace his career if he joined the heat. there's no way he will go there, he won't even touch the ball.

Mike Miller and James Jones might retire. So the Heat will need to reload on shooters. Allen would fit perfect. If he thought Rondo got him open a lot, he will be standing all alone with the Heat.
Nash is not going to the Heat. It will be the Suns or Knicks. I think anyway.

I just don't think Nash is a great fit for the Heat. Nash is the type of PG who needs to have the ball in his hands to be really effective. He works best in the pick and roll. LBJ and Wade have the ball too much for Nash to utilize his skills. Nash could probably work okay as just a spot up shooter, but I don't think he is ready to be just that.

How would that work?? Miami isn't gonna start 3 guards.
But i think Allen is a perfect fit....a deadly shooter, coming off the bench, bron/wade can do good damage with him. I think Chalmers isn't as bad as some ppl think, he's already gotten better since last year and i think after this year, he's showing major signs of improvement. A shooter like Allen is the way to go

Goat the difference between this year and next is that the bulls are a wild card and every other team is just getting older aside from the thunder. It's not ridiculous to think the heats road will be easier next year.
Never know who might emerge but it'd be surprising if it was anyone besides Chicago or OKC next year.

No idea the cost, but I'm sure JJ could get us a ballpark figure.
