In addition to the daily poker points (over 1 million for length of promo), yes you'd receive entry to the $15,000 tournament if you ranked high enough. This link explains the format.

Cool! I see a lot of people that have poker topp 100 with a large sum of points next to it on the badge. What's that about?

the top 100 badges you see are from last year and have nothing to do with what's now taking place. There was a big tourney late in the year. Entry was based on total points won during the year up to that point. Similar to what's going on now.

On my badge it shows I was 53rd with 7.6k points won to that point in 2011. Only the top 50 (or was it 40?) got a bye into the big one. Others had to play their way in. I didn't make it.
