What makes an owner a good owner is the same thing that makes a businessman a good businessman, surrounding yourself with smart people then getting out of the way and letting them do their jobs. He signs the checks, he's ultimately responsible for who he hires. The Lakers, Heat, Celtics, hell even the sorry ass Knicks and Clippers (with arguably the 2 worst owners in the NBA) somehow found a way to get good players. Who the hell did Cleveland put around Lebron? Starts at the top. When you put yourself out there with idiotic press releases and tweets, you get what you get.
I live in a city that has first hand experience with bad ownership, and what good owners bring to the table: Championships. But it's cool, we can agree to disagree.
