Thats a $600 total lost, now, if I had bet them as a 3 team parlay I would only have risked $100 which is my limit for parlays. Yeah, all of them would have lost but it would have only been a $100 lost instead of a $600 lost!

There is no magic formula to gambling...Like I said before the only winners at the end of the day are the BOOKS!

The bigger the Parlay the more square the bet becomes.

I would keep parlays no greater than 3 teams.

ok but 2-1 wins you money if you bet the games straight and loses money in a parlay.

there is a reason they pay off at good odds, because you will lose on them long term.

odds of you going 3-0 very slim. odds of you going 2-1 much better. if you go 1-2 you lose the same amount that you would on the parlay. you gave the worst case scenario with 0-3.

This was just me shedding some light on the other side of betting a parlay...you're right about the 1-2 scenario....but what we don't hear about is people betting games straight and going 0-3 like I did yesterday...this happens especially if you're on a losing streak....parlays get labeled as "sucker bets" cause if 1 game lose its a total loss...but what about betting straight games and all of them lose?

there is no blueprint to gambling...its all about your risk tolerance!

Almost every one chasing (martingale) picks end up broke, parlays are about the opposite. Yes, you might get lucky. But the secret is not chasing, parlays or straight bets. The secret is never run out of money and having a winning percent. Your 20 picks parlay might be about to hit the next month. But if you run out of money you might not get to the next month.

if you wanna call it that so be it...but yes, I will continue to play parlays as I keep them between 2-5 teamers and I usually hit about 3 or 4 a month
