Minnesota radio talk hosts accuse Magic of faking AIDS and the sh%t hits the fan!

I live a couple hours away from the station where I heard that this took place.The radio talk show hosts were shooting the bull about AIDS remedies and one jokingly said that since Magic isn't dead yet he probably faked having AIDS.

As soon as his words were uttered,every Obama,NAACP,Acorn,Rainbow coalition and Johnson himself started a hissy fit and campaign over it and the host got suspended.


So let's see,the talk radio host was implying that maybe Johnson wasn't as bad of a guy where he wasn't screwing around with hundreds of women and maybe even men on road trips away from his wife and child putting them at risk?

I don't get it,wasn't he saying that by Johnson faking AIDS that he was paying him a compliment that he wasn't the scoundrel tomcat that would have put himself at risk to get AIDS and give other people the disease over his selfish sexual urges?The whole thing is friggin bizarro world where all of Johnson's supporters should be happy the host thinks he faked AIDS.

The only other guy I know in the history of athletes and celebrities that acted this way was when the made for tv movie about Jesse Ventura's life aired and Jesse complained that it wasn't accurate and factual.The movie made him out to be a prince of a fellow compared to how he really was.Ventura should have been in glee over the movie!I could see getting bent out of shape if a movie made you look to be worse of a person than you actually are.

Then a few years back Michigan State constructs a bronze statue of Johnson in front of the campus arena.Wasn't Typhoid Mary available to have one of her constructed too?

Aren't all proven to be absolute disgusting people like Johnson and Bill Clinton fair game where it's amazing they have the balls to get mad when people say stuff about them that doesn't sit well with them.

Who would you rather have as a friend?? A red blooded man that gives into what was prob unimaginable temptations, aimed at man's weakest area... SEX.

or a man that LIES to the entire world, keeps his charade up for decades.... and a despicable lie at that.... and never recants, admits, apologizes, or seeks forgiveness for what he did.

What magic did to get Aids, is in the past...he has dealt with it, admitted it, worked it out with his wife..... and more then paid for his sins there.

the radio host is implying that not only did he engage in promiscuity (because that has been admitted) it doesn't matter if he got aids or not...he slept around period..... But the host is saying he is CONTINUING to lie.

I'd much rather be known as someone who has made big mistakes, admitted them, moved to fix them and to patch up my wrong-doings... because hey who hasn't messed up big time........ Then to be known as someone who is STILL in LIAR of epic proportions.

its like the difference between a player in baseball that attempts to cheat one time/one season with a corked bat, steroids, scuffing the ball....and admits to it when caught....AND someone like Pete Rose who broke a huge rule in baseball and will prob NEVER completely admit to his wrongdoing.... I can maybe understand the first case in the heat of competition..but I can't excuse the second....

that's a coward plain in simple.... i'd rather admit to giving into my human nature and faliabilty as a human...then to just simply be a liar and coward forever

i read this in the local paper over the weekend.

Magic didn't just act this out on his own... He was at the end of his career and the elite who engineer society decided to use him to push the fear... So called "AIDS" helps on two fronts (decrese in birth rate and increase in death rate with some help from AZT/lifestyle)... Birth rates amoung whites have been dropping in the US like a rock and globally with the exception of the Muslims countries and the minorities in the US... Yeah he was at the end of his career... He went to the finals in most of the decade of the 80's and made the playoffs every year which is more games/wear and tear like Larry Bird who didn't last much longer... Majic got hurt a lot in his last few years and the injuries were adding up... It was either the 88' or 89' Finals where he was injuried and was never the same since... This does not discount the fact that the Bulls were far superior in talent, YOUTH, and coaching.... They got worked by the BULLS and it was clear Magic was done....

As far as the ridicule that only lasted a very short time and if you recall he played on the USA's first dream team and that whole ridicule you talk about QUICKLY FADED and is not ever mention today... Would you take a substantional amount of money to go through what he did with how it turned out..? I don't think he got NOTHING (as you put it) out of the deal...

Sure, Magic was washed up...... that's why he won the NBA MVP in 1989, 1990 and led the Lakers to the NBA Finals in 1991.

I remember he single-handedly CARRIED the Lakers to the finals, with one of the best playoff performances in history.

They lost the NBA finals not because he was broken down, they lost because they lost BOTH starters Byron Scott AND James Worthy!

Even then, they would've gone up 2-1 in the series had Vlade not choked the FT with a few seconds left.

The Dream Team would've been a success with or without him.
