#107What does Miami having two of the best playersdriving to the rim have to do with Durant being in foul trouble
The NBA has a history of protecting the best players in the league from foul trouble. Do you ever remember Jordan or Kobe or Lebron having to sit out almost the entire 2nd quarter ( Game 2 ) because the were in foul trouble.... do you remember them being in foul trouble and having to sit major mins on the bench in BACK TO BACK games in the Finals ???
And as far as i remember, Kobe and Jordan did not have to guard/were guarded by LeBron. This isn't about history of this league, this is simply about a match-up that favours Miami and puts OKC's star at a huge disadvantage.
Not to mention, these refs/fixing/stern theories are just getting old. If Stern did really want to fix games, he could've done so long time ago too. Nothing was different last year - LeBron was still the biggest name in the league, and Durant was not this popular, so Stern could've fixed for Miami against Dallas, but what happened? So no reason he needs to do it now...esp now that he has the best scenario for the NBA in play.Comment -

#108kobe and jordan are two of the best on ball defenders we have ever seen... really? are we comparing durrant to them defensively?
are we just forgetting the defensive foul called on late battier when durrant plowed into him in game two? what, the refs wanted okc to win, but then changed their mind since? refs are human just like the rest of us.. acting like the nab is rigging anything is absolute nonsense.. woulda been a lot easier if you guys decided not to bet an inexperienced young okc team.. then you wouldn't have to be bitching about "rigged" reffing all day bc of your lousy betComment -

the nba is all about superstars getting the calls... From back in the day when it was boston and the lakers..then the bulls and lakers ( kobe version )...etc
durant not getting the calls the nba has always given "elite" players and teamsComment -

#110lol...because when u have players who can drive to the basket at will, the other team has no choice, at many times, but to foul. Durant has picked up several fouls in this series when LeBron has been driving to the rim. And secondly, Durant has also picked up several offensive fouls on charges, and others on trying to clear out the stubborn defense of Miami (particularly LeBron) because they never let him catch the ball at the places he likes...he's forced to be aggressive to try and escape the defense in order to receive a good pass.
And as far as i remember, Kobe and Jordan did not have to guard/were guarded by LeBron. This isn't about history of this league, this is simply about a match-up that favours Miami and puts OKC's star at a huge disadvantage.

Sure, you can argue all day about how it was 'minimal contact' etc, but the fact is, by the books, I think all of those plays were justified fouls. Except possibly the one where Durant called for offensive foul against Wade i think it was, it looked like it may have been a flop. But the simple fact is, its not the Refs winning this game for Miami. I think if OKC had the talent Miami had in terms of defense, they too would eventually be getting calls and getting the players into foul trouble.Comment -

#115maybe u need to look a little closer at these games. These type of fouls being called are fuking jokes.

I also find it also quite ironic that you are saying that Durant should receive equal "star treatment" as other superstars, yet the whole reason you are upset is because you think the refs are fixing games and favoring certain players. Something sound wrong there?LeBron just a few games ago fouled out on "phantom calls". It happens.

#117Durant deserved all those fouls with the exception of maybe one. The reason he is racking up fouls is because he is guarding LBJ. Now the question is what does Scotty Brookes do? If he continues to have Durant guard LBJ for the majority of the game, his fouling woes will likely continue.Comment -

Playoff basketball i guess.. and I have no problem with Miami or OKC winning the title, I'd just wish that the league would call these games fairly.Comment -

#122i will tell ya what happen genuis. Dallas got their payback last year when the refs srewed them the year Wade got his title. Do u even remember that series? Everyone and their mother knew Dallas got fuked over. Heck Cuban was livid about the whole fiasco. Sure enuf Dallas gets their payback last year against the same Miami team. This shit has been going on for years. Shaq got all these bogus titles and only one he deserved. What the refs did to Sacramento against the Lakers back in the day got the Lakers to advance. The year before i believe Port was up by 20 with five minutes to go and all the sudden the Lakers were paraded to the foul line one trip after another and Portland got royally fuked as the Lakers again advanced when they shouldn't have. Bookies will always do well because the typical bettor is just to stupid to realize they are getting cheated right in front of their faces. Heck Donaghy tried to tell some of u saps and u bought the line that he was doing it aloneMaybe u should change ur handle to Sports sucker fish
So let me guess this straight, the Stern/Refs conspiracy theories are now SO damn strong that the fix was in for the Heat to beat Dallas in 2006...just so 6 years later, the NBA could have the same re-match and Dallas could 'get revenge'??Stern couldn't even script this shit in his head, let alone execute stories like this in his league.

But to think that corruption can lead to such ridiculous, and out-of-this-world conspiracy theories, is ignorant to say the least. Just watching 2-3 games of basketball will make you realize how hard it is to script/fix a game, let alone an entire series, and let fkn alone an entire league over YEARS.
And you can keep thinking its fixed...but to me, if fixing was real and was gonna happen, it sure as hell would've happened at a MUCH better time than this, and much much earlier, esp for LeBron.Comment -

It doesn't make sense to wait this long just so they can fix it now, when LeBron is playing the best ball of his career and facing his easiest finals of his career (Yes, OKC may be better than Dallas but Mavs had much more experience and played better during the finals). If there was truly a time for Stern/Refs to completely favour a team/player and help them out, it was last year when Heat faced Mavs, because they could've seriously used some help, and would've likely won that series.Comment -
