Are QB's important in College Football?

I don't know much about CFB, I'm guessing he's important if their plays include alot of passing, not so much for the run game.

College Football success depends upon good/great QB play.

Show me a top 5 team, and I will show you a very good/great QB.

Texas has Colt McCoy.
Penn State has Darly Clark
Oklahoma Sam Bradford
Missouri has Chase Daniel.
Florida has Tim Tebow.

The only exception would be Alabama. Saban doesn't ask much from his QBs, he just prefers they dont lose him the game.

A QB is important *IF* you have a decent offensive line. Good schools with decent recruiting can build a good o-line. A super QB at a "B" school won't have the o-line to make him shine.
