i approve of this thread. making pitchers hit is obsolete. all star game is going to have DH's regardless of which park its played in so we're moving in the right direction

I do agree, it is pointless for P's to hit. Stats are so skewed for National League pitchers. being able to face worthless pitchers 2+ times a game instead of guys like Ortiz and all the DH's in the AL

more strategy in the NL. 162 games in a a season. more than any other sport. NL cant just give a guy a day off by letting him dh. DH is weak. not too many great DH's throughout the years anyway. shoulda kept it the way it was instead of softening the game. some al teams are lost without the dh. putting adrian gonzo in the outfield so ortiz can play. strategy makes the game more fun.

strategy does make the game more fun but runs are what makes it popular. more people go to the games to see the sluggers than to see pitchers duels and thats why we have the home run derby. the other problem is since each league has its own rules we're gonna keep seeing guys like pujols, fielder, dunn, ibanez, a-gon migrate to the AL so they can dh when theyre older. the list will keep growing

I wish pitchers had to hit in both leagues....Im a Yankees fan but I still say fukk the DH. Agree with those that say there is more strategy when the Pitcher has to hit.....Love the NL brand of ball much better.
