calling in and asking for a pull. It is unorthodox but since it sounds like
you placed this bet with a book and not a local (because with a local you
could use credit to hedge and not have to put up) - ask them if they will
cancel the bet if you pay for it. Offer to pay $500 then $1000
or even more, whatever it takes at least you will only lose a makeable amount
and not $27k. The series is 1-1, it's no sure thing that they win at all, this way
they make money and could give you the speech about how they never do this,
take your fee to cancel and move on.
