The problem with posting picks is this: If you post and say you bet $10 on a game, everyone comes in and says, good luck guy and I am rooting for you to win. if you win, nobody is envious and if you lose everyone sympathizes with you and tells you "stick with it." As soon as you tell someone you made a 4 figure wager, everyone says you are lying and openly roots for you to lose.

Gambling is just a cut throat endeavor. It's every person for themselves. I don't doubt this poster made a $5000 wager. And even if he did not, I would not care. Everyone has to look out for themselves in this industry. Plenty of guys rooting for you to not make it.
