People will tune in to watch him Win or Lose this series.
Miami Fans will obviously be watching...But all of the fans that are "haters" of his will be tuning in to watch him fail.
But yes, should be high rated...Should be a good series as well.

No it won't.
I'm from Oklahoma, my favorite team is in it, and I'm pumped. With that said, the Celtics/Lakers series ratings will still be better than this series
I don't expect ratings to suck, but there is no way they will even be top 5.

To an admin:
SBR can make money off events like this. If you have the clout, you can Have 1 comment taken from SBR and you get on TNT, like when they show twitter quotes. The name SBR forum will get out there more to big networks like ESPN and TNT. There's no reason why John shouldn't be able to arrange something like that. It's not a big thing to ask but it's an idea for more exposure.

you're on crack. No one likes Lebron outside Miami (now). Los Angeles wont be watching any of it, other than what few harxcore NBA fans there are. So that takes 20% of the rating stsyem completely out of the equation.
You really think people care about Kevin Durant who arent out cow tipping 4 or 5 nights a week?
I would say this year might be a MAJOR disappointment because of the numbers they got last year. Of course if Miami gets into an 0-2 hole then you might get some random interest from general sports people who are interested to see if Lebron not only loses another final but actually gets swept. Miami Dallas last year got record ratings but that's Dallas and all the buzz around the 'dream team'. The games were also relatively close which helps to keep 'casual' fans interests longer.
But people love to see people fail so maybe they will tune in and keep tuning in if Lebron and Co add another loss to their legacy of supposed 8 rings.

You see OKC play at home?
Fans there were going crazy, probably the best fan base in this years playoffs.
Of course I have no idea if the people from OKC will tune in just because they are in the finals, but it seems they have plenty of fans down there, and people would watch just to chat it up with folks at work.
And 1 of the most hated players/most talked about players in the NBA is playing...That alone will draw "casual" fans to watch it.
Maybe just the elimination games will get the HUGE ratings.

meanwhile the NHL cant even break a 3.00 overall total.
yet some posters on here continue to believe the nba is in some sort of trouble.
NBA is right with MLB and will pass MLB in the next decade.

the whole state will be watching.
also, on a national scale, itll pull mega ratings because its billed as good (thunder) vs. evil (heats).

If Durant has any opportunity to change his image... in front of the world... the time is now. I wish the kid would get a little "nasty" that would be fun to watch.

Around the world, You'd have to think that Lebron vs Kobe finals woulda been the best draw.
But in the U.S...I'd think that OKC vs Lebron would be the biggest draw.
Lets get this series started. Hopefully we can get a game 7 out of the series.
