Going to Vegas this weekend and haven't been there in about 5 years, so I am looking for opinions.

What Casino in your opinion is the best as far as sportsrooms and lines?

What Casino has nicest poker room full of tourists that don't play a lot of poker?

Casino with best overall atmosphere/ favorite one to go too?

Any regular shows that are worth while? I hear most are not worth the time, but looking to make the wife happy.

Thanks for any opinions in advance.

I don't live there, but my favorite sportsbooks are Mandalay Bay, Luxor and MGM Grand. They all use the same lines, however. LVH has the best lines I think, to attract people to go there mainly.

If you are looking for poker rooms that have a lot of idiots, tourists, and $30,000 a year millionaires, the 5 star hotels are the ones for you. Mainly Caesers, Bellagio, and Venetian. They flock to these nice hotels thinking they are high rolling bigshots but its easy to knock them off in the poker room. Usually the lower class the hotel, the better the poker players.

Favorite Casino experience for me was at the Flamingo, playing blackjack and craps. Again, the wannabee high roller idiots and hipsters frequent the higher end hotels, but Flamingo has the down to earth people who aren't arrogant. Great place to play with fun groups of people.

The Terry Fator show at the Mirage is awesome

If you want to make easy money though, play in the poker room at Caesers. Lots of idiot college aged wannabee high rollers who think they are all that and think they are good at poker because they have watched it on TV before or played in a game with their friends at home. They are really easy to beat and its like stealing candy from a baby.

The new sportsbook at the Palms (now Cantor Sports) has the best hi def screens I've ever seen. For tourist poker I like to play Planet Hollywood, MGM & Golden Nugg. I dont play cash @ Venetian much anymore as IMHO it's filled with daily pro grinders since Black Friday.

If you & the wife like the Beatles go see LOVE @ Mirage... If you haven't seen Phantom this is the last summer it's @ Venetian...

Caesars for poker. Bellagio is too small and like someone said Venetian is chalk full of grinders. I also like PH for poker and sports. Atmosphere I like Venetian and Mirage

I had my biggest and funnest day at MGM Grand though... I started a rubberband play on Long Beach State -3.5 in the Big West Championship game and by the time the game started about 50 of us were all on LBSU because some guy I explained my reasoning to went and told his friends who told their friends and it spread like a virus. It covered and we all were going nuts. This could happen in any book though

Cool were staying at Planet Hollywood so I am sure I will end up playing a lot there either way just because of the convience factor of it. Might have to check out that Phantom, never saw that one.

I'll second the no buffet besides Mirage. Excellent food for a buffet, all fresh and a large selection. Since you're already at PH, they have a 24 hour restaurant, I think they refer to it as an upgraded coffee shop but they have a full menu. Got a spicy chicken alfredo there, probably second best meal the entire trip

Definitely like spicy food. All this talking about food is making me hungry! Think its about time to go fire up the grill right now.

Venetian and Palms are by far the nicest book to watch a game at, the best tvs you have ever seen.

Bellagio or Hilton is the best if you want free drinks.
