#147Pinny took a bath on this game. They had great TT numbers for an over, offered + money on the over 9, and gave the Tigers away for the highest + price on the board.Originally posted by lunchbawksyou got a horrible line on the tt.. pinny had 4 -102

total was + money but it was 9.5 where other books 9-120.. so pinny protected a bit from much action
team total on tigers was ov 4 -114 near close and therefore juiced up a tad high on their standards
and as far as the + money on detroit dog...
tons of people subscribe to line services and chase steam.. pinny steamed the shit out of cincy the last ten mins and i would be willing to bet late "fake sharps" lost their tale on this game
the +1.5 line also dropped to psych-out line watchers by seeing the -1.5 cincy rise quickly

#157Pinny closed at 9 (+106) on the over -- not 9.5. And this is with the public hammering the over and Bodog offering the over at 9 (-120).Originally posted by secretstashi dont agree with ur entire assessment here.

They also had Cincy +119 while Bodog, by comparison, only had +110. You don't see plays cash very often when you "beat" Pinny by 9 cents at another book.Comment -

#160What do you mean? Most of the time, if Pinny's offering a total at 9 with the over at +100 and Bodog's offering a 9 with the under at +100, you can hammer the under at Bodog and never look back. It's typically an easy cash -- just wasn't here.Originally posted by t-wizzleStop comparing pinny and bovada no coin.
I'm not "comparing" the books necessarily -- just pointing out the typical "flaws" that Bovada and other rec. books are exposed to vs. a sharp one like Pinny. Didn't pan out that way in this one though.Comment -

#162So if Pinny closes at +119/-126 on a play and Bovada +110/-120, are you saying it's irrelevant?Originally posted by t-wizzleI'm just saying pinnacle to bodog is apples to oranges.Comment -

#163Yes. I think you are over-complicating things. I would only watch Pinnacle and Greek.
If you want to expose visible and take advantage of their lines than that is a different issue entirely.Comment -

#164If sharp money is bumping a play to +119/-126 at Pinny and a rec. book is hanging a +110/-120, I'll take the fave in that situation at Bodog every time. Same goes for the way the total closed tonight at Pinny vs. Bodog. Why is that "overcomplicating things"? If anything, it's probably a little too simplistic.Originally posted by t-wizzleYes. #165Do you remember lakerboy explaining how pinny's model is to offer the best lines the other night?
Also, pubes still love the tigers hence the lower line at a shop like bodog.Comment -

#166It's pretty rare that you can get a dog at a better price at Pinny vs. the rec. shops at close. If so, there's typically a reason for it (the dog ain't barking).Originally posted by t-wizzleDo you remember lakerboy explaining how pinny's model is to offer the best lines the other night?

There were a lot of exceptions today though, and there have been throughout Interleague. I don't know if it's just harder for the books to get reads on these games or what. I'm not saying you can't get the "best lines" at Pinny, but it's typically of the reduced juice variety on faves.
That's why it surprised me to see a game like tonight, where Cincy closed 6 cents higher at Pinny and Detroit was offered at a price 9 cents better. Then again, Cincy wins that game about 97 times out of 100.Comment -

#167Great, GREAT finish.
To have the Blue Jays come back from a 4-run deficit and now the Tigers the same. 3-3 on my card today NAISHE.
GREAT GAME, if nobody had money on that game- still would have been great w/ popcorn.Comment
