#40Tell you what. I'm in a pretty good mood. Had a good past few months, so here's what we're gonna do....
You're gonna send me $1800, and I'm gonna make this problem disappear. Now you may "lose" your friend, but at least this fukk won't be bothering you anymore. And it only cost you 1/2 of the actual debt!
I'll pm you the details. Thank me later.Comment -

#49The moment you deviated from what your friend wanted you to do with his money you took his money...once you hesitated and decided what you would fo with his money you claimed ownership...paying your friend will help you sleep better. This is one of those times in your life that form character....one way or another. Believe it or not this decision and how you decide to handle it is a microcosm of the bigger picture that is your life. Pay your friend ...keep your word..this is a small price to pay for a great life lesson.Comment -

#52i think opie is being serious here...my thoughts were this guy should tell his friend exactly what happened even if it's just that he was holding the bet...then tell him i know it's $3600 but i'm sorry please meet me in the middle and then let him decide if he wants to remain friends with you...either that or if he's capable and willing to pound you just pay him the marker no matter how long it takes trust me...i have been hunting one particular stiff for years and he knows it (moved 6 states away but still visits occasionally)...until payment is made this fat fukk's teeth will always be in jeopardy.

#54You should either flat out pay him, or tell him what happened and offer to pay him......Maybe you guys can settle on half the amount or something
But If he wants it all you should definitely pay the guy......Anyone that doesn't pay here is a pure scumbag
If my "friend" did this to me I would let him pay in installments and probably even accept less than the full amount.......But if he tried to stiff me and pull this kind of bullshit for a good chunk of change shit would get really ugly, and quickComment -

#59UGH. With age comes wisdom and your learn eventually, these are the kinds of things that you just dont do. BUT, IF you do, you have to be prepared to pay the consequences. You knew going into it that he took $1000 of his hard earned money and trusted you (which you agreed to do) to make the bet. AT THAT POINT ITS A DEAL. Once you took his $ you knew that if Manny won (I still am in shock that he didnt) you were going to keep the money. If Bradley won, your friend was going to need to get his $4600.00. If you werent able to pay if Manny lost you should have called him BEFORE the fight. Sorry you're dealing with it and hope he isnt a really good friend you were trying to make money off of in the first place.Comment -

#60if money changed hands and you told him his bet had action, then you are a stiff if you don't pay him. This is no different then clicking submit on one of your wagers online. He watched that fight believing he had 1,000 dollars in play. That rigged decision went in his favor, so you are now obligated to pay him his money.Comment -

I was trying to save him, lol, what are u God and you know whats going to happen in a sporting event? If u didnt tell him bfore it started means u had intentions of keeping the bet otherwise there s no reason not to call or text him that u didnt put it in before it started, get on a payment plan and pay himComment -

#69the name mac4lyfe says it all...you have ambitions of being a hustler and making easy money. You failed. Why wouldn't you offer him a payment plan at least? If anything, your friend will enjoy having something on you and you'll be able to escape without causing damage to him. I don't care how good of a friend you are to him, or vice versa, no one is that dumb to believe any sort of excuse that it was an accident. If a normal person couldn't get the bet in, they would tell their friend way before the fight ended. no excuse not to text. Your screwd on every possible explanation except telling him the god's honest truth. A user's name and spending time on an internet gambling forum can become dangerous...people start to believe they are their fantasy self and this sort of thing happens.Comment -
