Why did Denver trade/give away Jay Cutler?

That isn't right. In addition to Orton, Denver got Chicago's 2009 and 2010 first round picks and swapped their 2009 5th round pick for the Bears 3rd round pick. In other words, they got 2 picks and moved up a couple rounds. They traded their 2010 for different picks, but that's a different deal. 2 picks is not a boatload.

2 full seasons under Cutler. 18-8 last two seasons under Cutler and made a conference championship game. All with a pathetic receiving corps. Time will tell. The trade was absolutely a good one for the Bears, but it guarantees nothing, QB is only one position and there are a lot of teams fighting for the same ring. Think Cutler puts up monster numbers this season with the new talent at WR.

We'll see. I think they will be be pretty good this year, but the NFC North is probably the toughest division in football. I wouldn't be shocked if they missed the playoffs.

That I agree with. I really think GB, Chi and Det are 3 of the top 5 teams in the NFC. Wouldn't surprise me if all 3 made it, but it's tough for a div. to get both wild cards.
