NFL players are generally much better educated. Listen to any 300lb+ offensive lineman speak and compare it to a typical NBA player, the NFL player is much more articulate and less self asorbed 90%+ of the time. NFL players stick around to complete their degrees and it is obvious when most of them are interviewed.

football is more cerebral. there are too many plays to remember, too many working parts and too many nuances to the game. There are certain positions(like DT/DE) where you can be dumb as a rock as long as you are athletic, but even in those cases it definitely requires more intelligence than basketball.

That is what you think because you haven't ever played basketball.. If you were a semi-good player you would notice the nuances of basketball. Just because OKC just uses pick n rolls and pick n pops doesn't mean you understand basketball...
