Why do you gamble???

Over my 3 years of browsing SBR (although I just recently joined) all I see are so called "Lock" threads/post but any one with a clue about gambling know there is no such thing as a "Lock"!

I believe athletes nowadays play whenever they feel like it and its all about the money to them, not passion or love for the sport as with the athletes of the past.

So that brings me to this, why do we keep placing our faith and hard earned money in these clowns? Is it an addiction, is it for the rush, or just simply because hopes of gaining some extra money?

I know for me, its all about the money!!!! If I was rich I don't think I would watch sports as much as I do, I would much rather occupy my time with something else!

To answer your question of "Why do you gamble???" to pay the bills, travel a little, get drunk & meet women (actually my Lesbian girlfriend pulls in more women than I do) and it keeps the dream alive of a beautiful future.

Oh, and I never watch any sports, just not enough time in the day. I may watch the occasional football game. I don't even hunt down a game I am on when sitting at sports bar. Just the other night I was sitting at a bar and I was against Houston, I am in Texas btw, as the crowd cheered or was outraged, I would look back at the score, but other than that, I never see the games.
