I know he doesn't play on the team anymore but the rules state that a player playing in 41 regular season games gets his name on the cup. Jack played in 61. Does the fact that he is on a different team change that? He was buried. Playing on worst team now. How does that work?

No, you don't get your name on the cup if you're traded, which makes sense because you would've been gone long before the playoffs even start. I remember I looked it up when Hodgson was traded from van to buffalo.Comment -

Backup goalies do get their names on the cup as they are on the game roster for each game.
nhl teams can ask for exemptions.
Last year marc savard of the bruins didn't qualify because he only played 25 games in the regular season And 0 in the playoffs but the team petitioned for him and he got his name on the cup.Comment -
