You're cheap and have no problem staying in the Manor Lodge away from the main hotel/casino building.

I love the Flamingo! It may be old but its right at the center of the strip and has that old school Vegas feel to it. It's not as bad as people make it out to be. Just because its on the cheaper side doesn't mean its not good.

I agree, Flamingo is old school Vegas ... I've been to Vegas over 20+ times in the past 3 years and I try to stay mid-Strip as much as possible. I love Wynn but it's just too far out of the way for me and Venetian has that perfume smell that is disgusting.

harrahs is best hotel for price and location. not fancy or anything, but great customer service and very cheap rooms.

Agree, and IMO.... most under rated hotels on the strip

1. Flamingo
2. Luxor
3. Harrah's
4. Tropicana
5. Excalibur

People see movies/TV shows filmed in Vegas and they are always at places like Caesers or Bellagio and think that if they aren't staying there they aren't living it up in Vegas. Bullshit, I think the 5 hotels I listed above while not known as high roller or high class hotels are just as great and give you more bang for your buck too IMO. Flashy/classy doesn't always equal better or more valuable.

I hear the Trop rooms are quite nice since the re-model. I just can't bring myself to pay for a room when they are given out freely by CET. My money for gambling and clubbing.

Trop is a 4 star hotel now and is probably the cheapest 4 star on the strip, lot of value there. Really no difference between it and the other 4 stars except maybe its location and the fact it looks kind of bland from the outside. Got to see it in person when I was there a couple months ago its nice and would consider staying there

never stayed in that dump, ate at The Steakhouse back a few years ago and had to go through the casino

jus got back last nite from vegas.... stayed at ceasars ... cple friends was at flamingo and they had no hot water cuz of the construction at o'sheas..... jus a heads up
