First casino trip in almost a year....idiot Black Jack player and Big hit for Sammy
Yesterday boys I went to Turning Stone casino in New York, first time going since last August...been fukking brutal.

I start off at Black Jack, $10 min table and $500 max, sit there for hour and a half and win even $100, but that's not even the story here.

Fukking guy sitting at end of table starts with $100, gets down to $25 and then goes on run of his life, getting 5 black jacks in a row with all in bets every time. Now dude it betting $200-500 a hand and within the hour turned his $25 into $4600.

You think this dude would walk away, but he says, I wanna hit $5000 then I walk away...so he bets $400 on next hand and loses...still at $4200, then is up and down for next 15 minutes, mainly down though. Now he has mid $3000 and losses 4 hands in a row to put him in single thousand figure. 30 minutes, he is down to betting $10 a hand after losing all his money.

And then of course, that $4600 turned into 0. In the end he only lose $100, but he had it up to $4600, what an idiot.

Moral....GET THE FUKK UP FROM THE TABLE WITH A PROFIT, PUT $2500 in your pocket and play with rest. WHAT AN IDIOT!!!! Dude literally looked like death after getting up from table.

Anyway, I won $100 and also got a free $20 comp meal

Onto poker, where I played for 9 hours at a very friendly and fun table. Of course we were serious when it came to hands and what not, in the end we wanted each others money, but being friendly is just better.

I can go on and on with different hands that happened, but I'll only say the biggest one I had.

I started with $100 at black jack and turned it into even $200, so I sit at $1-2 no limit and put all $200 down. After 5 hours, I'm still only at $265...it's a grind boys

I'm in mid position and I look at pocket aces. Standard raise at table was $10, so I made that standard raise, not wanting to over bet the hand and have people fold away. Guy to my left calls and guy in dealer spot re-raises it to $35. Both of us have a big stack, so I have the option of do I re-pop or just call. That's up to debate, but I just CALLED the $35 and the guy to my left folds it.

Heads up to the flop and I have pocket aces with a guy already raising into me.

Flop comes out A-Q-7. I flop top set and I'm golden now. I don't want to check-raise him, showing strength so instead I bet out small hoping for a raise, so I bet $15....he only calls.

Turn comes out with another 7. I got full house, Aces full of 7s. I again bet out with $25....FINALLY, he re-pops it to $70, I push all in and he instantly calls and flips over pockets queens. I say I'm sorry bro, flip my aces and the table is like whoaaa and the dude with queens was naturally pisses. River is insignificant and I take down pot for over $500.

I play for another couple hours and get up from table after playing 8-9 hours up for the day almost $500.

YEAAAA BUDDY!!!! Good day at casino for me

    nice one sam

don't be so hard on the blackjack player though, i've been there and it's tough to quit on the way down

you could've easily said you'd quit with $1000 and never built it up to $4600 so it's easy to say you'd quit while you're ahead but at what point? hindsight is always 20-20

I understand that mike, but if you are at 4600, why not put 1000 in pocket to guarantee profit. I have no problem with continuing to play, dude is on amazing run, but why not put money away to guarantee profit and not lose it all.

true, i would actually put 4000 in my pocket but i probably wouldn't build 25 up to 4600 in the first place

god i love the stone...especially the soft ass 1/2 tables on the weekends.

What i typically do @ blackjack is if i get a green 25 chip i just throw it into my pocket...so if i go on a run @ a table and am getting paid in greens i leave the reds on the table and pull the greens.

yes but some holes in the story

hitting 5 blackjacks in a row would be about 3 million to 1 odds
going all in each time would push the bet from $25 to $976 for the 5th bet

so that would be more than the table max of $500
