The ref seemed more interested in getting ready to head up the other end of the floor, then get down there in the corner where the current play occurred. Perhaps just have 9 refs, with 4 in the corners, 4 in the middle of the sidelines, and just one who roves center court. Who am I kidding ... even if this League employed 100 refs for a game, they'd still miss the obvious. Garnet, Pierce and Allen were no where to be found with the game on the line, and the defense did allow James an easy offensive crucial tip in and Wade to get into the paint. None of this will matter in the end, as even if the Heat and Celtics could combine teams, they'd still be no match for the Spurrs.

it was a pretty hard foul but i can see how at game speed the guy missed the call...having said that, i have always thought the nba is the easiest game in sports for a referee to completely change the outcome of a game...most people either accept it or don't care and just want to be entertained...gamblers don't accept it but also don't care until they are on the wrong side.

Look at the first San Antonio/OKC game.

Third Quarter starts, game moving at a nice pace with a good flow, they go up and down, OKC gets out and starts running down on every possession, build an 8 point lead with no ref interference.

All of a sudden, 4th quarter starts, refs get involved, and Spurs win going away.

Fukkin fixed.

I don't care what anyone says.

When they let both teams play and didn't interfere, OKC was threatening to blow them out.

Refs get involved and Spurs beat them soundly.

Isn't this the second straight game that Pierce has fouled out of? Why are the refs controlling the outcome so dam much? Lebron and Wade do much more reaching in and very rarely get called for fouls. I think in the entire indy series, Lebron and Wade combined for just 8 fouls in the entire series. That is straight up bullshit. Don't tell me that Indy and Boston don't drive to the hole too? I agree they missed one call...it happens. Rondo scored 44 points (a career high by a mile) and shot 66% and more free throws attempts than DWade, I mean yes he got robbed on that one call but was either makin it or going to the line on every drive to the basket the rest of the game.

I feel dumber reading this post..Boston doesn't have 500k spot up shooters, they have 3 hall of famers and currently a top 3 point guard. I believe they should be warranted the same calls. A lot of fouls call on Boston weren't even at the rim or tackling LeBron as you claim, they were coming 15 feet from the basket!
