Why can't I post an avatar?

Do I need a certain amount of posts to be able to put up an avatar?
The avatar I tried posting had motion in it maybe that was the problem?
But then I tried posting a different one with no success.
Can someone give me a walk-through on it? I'm pretty sure I'm doing it correctly.
Or maybe it's the post requirement?

Do not think you can use motion avatars and you do not need to have a certain amount of posts. Make sure you are saving your choice at the bottom of the page on the right.

Hi Benny - Easy-Rider is right. You can't use moving images for your avatar. Try again with a regular pic and if it still doesn't work, let us know.

I just went to look at your avatar and the system says you haven't uploaded one. I'm going to put one up for you. Once I do, go to Settings > Edit Avatar and try to change it. Keep in mind that whatever you choose has to fit the size restrictions of 150 x 150 pixels or 19.5 KB.
