Get active. Get your body in shape and the mind will follow. Find a park and play some pick up basketball. Find the neighborhood pool and swim. Get your house cleaned up, car too, get a few inexpensive print paintings and a couple of plants and pimp your place out. Add a part time job. Get a pet. Get a novel and read 10 pages before sleeping.

I really like this answer because what SBR JOHN is saying will make this person well rounded and participating in many different productive activities.

My answer would be that you can't go back, only forward. 27 is very young and one step at a time, start to build a present and future for yourself with discipline and hard work. Always respect others and most of the time, people respond in a positive manner.

I lost my business, i lost my condo, which was paid in full. I lost my girlfriend, and i lost all my friends, because i never hung out with them, and i was a jerk all time to them. I lost my girlfriend, because i drank too much and gambled too much, and lied to her. I lost over 250k in my own money and assets and then tried to kill myself, which landed me in the mental institute for a few weeks. Now i am out, how do i get everything back and become happy again? Any suggestions. I havent gambled or drank in 90 days, but still feel miserable because everything is gone.
