I recently deposited at an SBR rated B+ Sportsbook and decided to check out their poker room. They have some very high stakes games there, with limit hold'em as high as 100/200 and an NLHE 200/400 blind game. Imagine my surprise when I was only able to transfer $300 to the poker room per day! I emailed them to ask to have my limit raised and they said "We have raised your limit to $500." It seemed strange that the transfer limit would be so low when they have games with such high stakes, so out of curiosity I tried transferring money to their online casino. No surprise, they had no problem with me transferring my entire balance (mid-high 4 figures) to the casino. And they offer blackjack as high as $500 per hand and craps as high as $1000 per roll, so they will only let me play poker for the entire day for as much money as I can play one hand of blackjack!
I understand that these sites might want to limit the losses of new customers who could easily blow off their entire balance, but if they were really concerned about the customer, shouldn't they be MORE LIKELY to limit the casino transfer than the poker transfer? I am sure that eventually when I hear back from them they will raise my limit in the poker room, but I have to wonder about a site that limits poker while letting you bet large sums in their casino.
