It wasn't like that for all of us.... Most action some of us got was smoking hashish and burning shit...

Since plenty of people are either dead (what Memorial Day is really supposed to be about....) or seriously fukked up (both physically and mentally - something the movies usually ignore) I'm personally quite glad that my shifts "monitoring equipment" usually meant spending 12 hours napping, watching movies, and reading books...
