Let's see. They opened it at 12.5 and then moved it to 13. So yes, they should've opened it higher. Are you new to sports betting?

Typical example of everybody betting on the wind. The way these teams have been playing a total of 6 runs might be expected under neutral conditions. The two pitchers, under normal conditions, might give up a combined total of about 10-11 runs. But I have them both pitching better than that. So we'll see. Either the simple wind angle wins this for the over, or more indepth handicapping will.

The odds in this game are adjusted for a late-summer game huh???..
Cubs -141 with an o/u at 13 now!!
Definitely seems adjusted for some other factors into play. winds/weather/terrible pitching/mem. day?/idk..
Cubs fav. @ -140 or higher after losing so many games in a row.. Padres on the road, terrible offense. None of this makes sense right???
Well....Im rollin' with it.. Cubs for the win and the over.. Vegas adjusts this shit with a lot more experts eying this shit than I probley can.. They have a reason to adjust this so high.
Over the last few years, it’s been widely believed that betting the over on high totals at Wrigley Field has been profitable. By “high totals,” we’re referring to those that are 10 runs or more, a result of heavy winds blowing out in what’s already considered to be one of the best hitters’ ballparks in baseball.
A 10-game stretch in 2010—one that saw 10 straight games with double digit totals go over by an average of 3.45 runs—likely contributed to this belief.
But over the last decade, it’s actually been a better bet to go under on wind-inflated totals.
Since 2002, the over on totals of 10 or more is just 94-101-6, a rate of 48 percent. The sub .500 win percentage—combined with the added juice—isn’t close to profitable.
The total in today’s Cubs-White Sox game closed at 11.5. It’s the highest Wrigley over/under of the season, but we’re sure to see plenty more inflated numbers in the months to come.
If the plan was to blindly bet the over, you might want to reconsider that strategy.
