Or should I say the "Video Game Controller" is the middle man and it's now beening eliminated...
You know.... I wonder what took so long... It was 14 years ago and me and my sister were looking at computers in this small computer store... They had a ski game where you would control the skier with your thoughts instead of a controller... It was pretty interesting how it worked... A wire with one end plugged into a USB port and the other end was a clipped on the middle finger... You had to train the computer with the commands before you played which took about 30 seconds... It would ask you to think "right" and whatever you thought at that time it would assign that brain wave frequency to "right"...
Anyway I played it again but had to retrain it since my sister played it before my second attempt and I wondered how it worked... This time when it said think "right" I would think "left" and so on... Well during the game if I wanted the skier to go "right" I would have to think "left" otherwise the skier would go "left" if I thought "right"... My theory was that the clip on my finger somehow used my nervous system to register my brave wave frequency with that particular thought... It was pretty interesting and it felt very intrusive at first but I got use to it..... and that was over 14 years ago...
