I love when people go big on plays and they have to buy points.....It doesn't really make sense. If you're that confident, why do you have to buy points? That only makes it worse when you lose because not only do you lose the original larger than normal bet, you also lose the extra juice on that bet.

The final result is all that matters. San Antonio was either going to cover 5.5 or they weren't. Way pay more for a point that didn't matter? In other words, if the Spurs weren't going to cover 5.5, odds are they don't cover 4.

It's not a good play for a variety of reasons.
