DUI's suck. period. I got one last 4th of July (I shouldn't have been driving then I know) and they **** up your life. I spent the whole summer waiting to go to court and I now have 4 months left until I get my license back. Costs at least 5k just in fees and expenses not to mention 5-10k more in insurance bumps and a lot of time and worry. Your forced to enroll in a drug program throughout your year suspension too. Dont risk it. Not to mention now I cant take a chance of being around .08 even though I handle alcohol better than anyone I have ever met..

I should also say that I understand now that its not fair to other people. A guy I play basketball with was drunk and accidentally ran a red light. He t-boned a college student and killed her. Hes being charged with murder instead of manslaughter and faces a long time in prison now. Hes only 23..

duis do suck and are a major pain in the ass....got one when i was 20...im 32 now.....told myself i wouldnt drink and get behind the wheel again....that lasted maybe like a year....started fuckin around again.....and actually caught a break or two from officers after that....i stopped fuckin around over the last few years....rarely drink now at all....
