I think there is a time for these little guys where you just lose a step and it's over. Youre in practice and you can't guard some quick rookie or beat him off the dribble and the coach doesn't want to invest in the past. A Shaq could maybe drop 50 lbs and be an all star next yr. When everyone said he was washed up in LA, he did it and won with Wade, then got fat again. But with guards, everyone is fast and has handle.

The one exception IMO is true PGs like Nash and Stockton... The guys who get the ball to the right people. I'd trade Rose and his bum knee away now for Rubio and his bum knee.
