Instead of Koufax, Don Drysdale pitched for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and he gave up seven runs in 2 2/3 innings. "I bet right now you wish I was Jewish, too," Drysdale said to Walter Alston when the manager came to pull him from the game. The Dodgers lost to the Minnesota Twins, 8-2.

It must be slicky. With the percentage of Jews in the world currently being at 0.1% I can't see no reason of all sports being halted for a jewish holiday.

The answer is no. MLB's schedule had nothing to do with the Jewish calendar.

What else are you looking for? It's not a light card except that MLB has an off day.

Of course sports events are being halted today for the Jews.
