.296 lifetime hitter, off the charts OBA..............
Hall worthy, or just miss borderline?

Hey, I'm just throwing it out there for discussion.

He does have some very tidy numbers though.

Are you joking? If HOF let's Berkman in, why not let everyone in. Of course he's not a hall of famer and Nash, I thought that you were smarter than this. Not even close to a HOF'er

An intelligent poster like Steve Nash with an awful thread. Steve: think about what Berkman has done some more. How can you even think Hall of fame?

He played a pivotal role in winning 2 World Championships on a team with no superstars. Thats what he did.

He was one of the best in the game during his peak seasons. Can't say the same about Berkman.

Puckett was shit, guy had above average BA and that is all he brought to the table, no power numbers, couldn't draw a walk to save his life, average fielder at best.

Just under .300, avg over 30 HRs and 100 RBI?

Isn't that the sort of thing HoF voters eat up? Obv not first ballot, but you'd think he'd make it eventually.

Berkman 400 doubles, 350 homers, 1200 rbi, 1150 bb, OBP over .400, 1100 runs. Those numbers look pretty consistent with those players who get in on the 6th or 7th ballet.

                                    Lol @ Puckett vs Berkman

Berkman played like 40% of his games at 1B. Puckett was the best defensive CF of his generation and would have been a shoe in for 3000 hits if not for the eye injury. Maybe Berkman can make a comeback and get to 2000 hits.

Typical East Coast BS! If he played in NY he would be a no brainer. This is why baseball suxs now. Nobody cares enough to fight for him. I will be happy when this sport dies.

The Big Puma has had a great career but he's in the Hall of the Very Good...not Hall of Fame.

Less than 2000 hits, less than 400 HR's...

                                              Not getting in.

Jeff Bagwell had 6 straight seasons with over 100 RBI and 100 runs scored -- a rare achievement for one season. He's not in yet.
