Time to buy again?
Tried getting my parents to buy when it was $20 a share... got all the way up to $38, would have made a killing... all the way back down to the low 20s again. Will it get back into the high 30s anytime soon?

Certainly not "soon".
I doubt if BAC will get to that level again in the next 12 months...........just a guess, nothing more.
Avoiding this stock for now, as I've had a tough time trading it this year.

Ban on short term investing so not sure it would matter, long term I think you have a good play but I think price will drop a little further and may want to wait before you buy

BOA is the worst bank on the planet. I would throw a celebration if they went down in flames. The only worse company is countrywide which they are buying.

I bank with them for one reason, and one reason only.
They have ATMs nationwide and I travel a lot.

This is why I hate BOA.
About a year ago give or take I used paypal and had it hooked up to my BOA checking account. One day I could no log in to my paypal account and quickly determined someone had hacked into it and changed the pword. I called BOA on the weekend to let them know to close the account and they said they could not because it was the weekend and I hate to wait until monday(not true btw). Monday comes around and sure enough there are tons of charges but this was my 2nd BOA account so I did not put much money in and of course all the charges were returned and over $400 in fees hit. I went down to my local BOA to a nice lady who spent the entire week trying to fix the account. They finally closed the account and credited the fees but oopsey they closed my other checking by accident and paypal puts charges through twice so here comes the charges again and hundreds more in fees instead.
I am thinking and so is this lady this should be easy to fix right? Hell no. The people who worked the first account never left notes and they refused to reverse the charges. We finally got to upper management who said, and I nearly quote, "we will not reverse the fees because the withdrawals were attempted using your last name". Well of course they had my last name because it was my paypal account that was hacked into. To this day they have never reversed the charges. They did send it to a collection agency once but after a nice letter explaining that if they even glanced in my direction I would happily take my going on 8 years of fdcpa training and shove it down their throat in court I never heard from then again. BOA = greedy scum.

If the DOW goes under 9000, we may see another spurt of panic selling..........and lots of value buying.
Again, this is crazy and 10x more exciting than betting sports.

BoA at under $20,if it gets there, is a good long-term play (2 years and onward)

If it isn't, we are all doomed.

Right.
Best long-term investment strategy around: buy into a Panic.

My worst trade of the year thus far was with Cheasapeake Energy........I refuse to re-enter that arena.
