That card is maxed out today

I make a payment from a bank account that i have used before for 7500, even though i don't have the 7500 to cover it in the bank...

B of A credits my account the next day before the funds have been proven to not exist in my bank account..

That same day i send a paypal "payment" to a friend of mine

when the b of A finds out i didn't have the funds available, the 7500 is put back on the card, along with the 7500 from Paypal

So now i have a balance of 15000...

I don't make a payment for 90 to 120 days..

BkofAma accepts a settlement to resolve the account at 20% of what the balance is after 120 or so days, somewhere around 21500, so they accept 4300 and the account is paid in full

Yeah its a ding on your credit, and it takes balls to do, but it can and does work

Settlements take about 2 years to work their way off, and if you have other cards already no big deal

I know all about CC settlements, been doing them for others for profit for years

It works. I pay all my bills with online bill pay. When i pay another CC the payment is posted to the account( thus freeing up your credit limit). But the money isnt withdrawn from your checking account until about a day later. This is true of all payments. Ive used bill pay at 3 different banks and it works the same. So brocks scam would work. Seems like a easy fix for banks though. Instead of issuing a payment, do it as a transfer instead.

Not to add on to your degeneracy but if you wanted to duke the bank why did you only make a fake payment of 7500. You can pay more than you owe on a CC to have a credit on your card.

IE you owe 7500 but you make a 12,000 payment on the card. Now you can send your friend 12,000 instead of 7500.

Not advocating this but if your going to take shots atleast maximize your return.
