Tel Aviv was very crowded today. All the bars were out of control earlier.

Lots of visitors here in Las Vegas taking advantage of cheap rooms and inexpensive restaurants BUT not spending nearly enough time or money at the tables or the machines.

haha, it is over I guess, or people just got bored from hearing about it, actually that is a very good sign that the economy is moving forward, it has been too long, time for me to plan a visit

Signs everywhere pointing to it turning around a lot. It's been slowly turning around, but since the year began everything that really matters has an uptick.
Out here in PHX, one of the most devastated housing markets in the nation, is seeing prices finally level out and start to go up. It's great. A lot is by investors, sure. But there are a bunch being taken off the market by normal folk too.
I just came back from Ruth's Chris tonight, place was jammed packed. A lot more spending money floating around. Uncovered government employees just got a 5% pay raise.
I don't exactly know what is controlling it, because I am extraordinarily cynical. I lost about 8% in the stock market, my long term stocks, in the last month. No idea what the bubble is, and therefore can't tell if/when it is going to burst.

Vegas has always done what it takes to get people there. I will be there in 2 weeks. $130 total for a 5 night stay in a junior suite. You can't stay at an interstate Econolodge in podunkville for that. It was similar to that before and during the recession too.

Exactly. I have a feeling most of the fukks commenting in this thread have most likely never even been to Vegas. I'd love for someone to show me a top hotel out there who is "giving away rooms". They won't.....because it doesn't happen.
Not sure where someone is getting a Jr suite for $130 for 5 nights total, but wherever that is.....I ain't staying there.

Im a shut in, Las Vegas is the only place i go been going there for 30 years.I really do not care about the big fancy hotels maybe because i have never stayed in one so dont know what im missing going back Aug 12.Just got a room for 4 nights at The Fiesta Henderson Sun - Thur for 11 bucks a night total was after taxes 63 bucks in think fly allegiant even after all the taxes still 400 for 2 people.I know Fiesta Henderson is not fancy but to me A Vegas hotel room is just for sleeping and taking a shower im barely in the room any way just a little while in the morning. They give u a free copy of The LVRJ.That is the only perk i need.Im still old School love my Coffee and Newspaper in the morning.Cheap hotel rooms means i have more money to gamble with and eat.Cant wait to get back to Ellis Island for the best micro brew in town.

Vegas changed their target market years ago. Every year the gambling odds get worse and the gambler knows this. Vegas wants the "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" partying crowd. They haven't cared about the gambler in years.

First off you are the dumbfukk who doesn't know what he is talking about. If you gamble any decent amount with the Harrahs/Caesars properties you can still get good deals. The comps aren't what they used to be but they are still good enough for me. I don't give a flying fukk about staying at the newest top hotel on the strip and paying hundreds of dollars a night for the privilege of sleeping 5 hours a night. All I need in Vegas is a bed/bathroom that is clean in a hotel that is convenient. I usually stay at Ballys, Harrahs or Flamingo. This trip its the Flamingo in a Mini Go suite. $130 total for 5 nights Sunday thru Thurs night.
In the future you should just pipe the fukk down when you don't have a fukking clue about the crap that is coming out of you mouth.

Your response seems a little excessive for my post, pal. I wasn't insulting you, simply saying that none of the top hotels in Vegas are giving away rooms. It's great that you got a sweet deal at the Flamingo, but that's not a upper tier property in Vegas. Not saying there's anything wrong with it, it is what it is. I've been to all of the above properties that you mentioned. And while I wouldn't personally stay at any of them, it's great that you've found such value there!
As far as not knowing what I'm talking about regarding LV, what exactly did I write that is incorrect? I spend 30-45 days a year in LV, so I feel confident I have at least a small clue.
You really need to calm down. All this rage simply can't be good for you.

Last night the strip was busiest ive seen it since new years. Floorman at Cosmo commented "if its this busy tonight, imagine next weekend for the holiday"....
With wsop and venetian deep stacks starting soon, the poker players are starting to roll in... ive met several who are here already..

Got a free suite at the Venetian with $200 free play not too long ago. Loved the hotel. I Get comped at NY NY, MGM and the cheap Caesars hotels consistently. Randomly Caesars or planet hollywood comps too, but all basic rooms.

Yep, has changed from the days of didn't care about rooms & food P&L statements, to every fukking department has to make money now, I even heard that the maintenance departments don't spend money unless there's a major visitor return on the the investment. ie eye appeal, creature comforts etc etc

So you usually stay at the Fiesta then? Are the bed and towels clean? Any bad smells?
