      I'd say he did for his first 5 years, or at least for the one game in May 1998. After 2003 he was never the same.

                    He could have pitched the string and collected a paycheck. But he's got too much pride for that. He gave it his best shot and just didn't have it so why hurt the team by continuing to go out there. He'll be part of the Cubs org. for a long time for sure.

                                8 innings, 8 runs given up 11 walks..... they didn't even trust to use him anymore.... but they didn't want to embarrass him and designate him for assignment, i'm sure they gave him the hint that he should go out on his own accord...

                                the real question is why did the Cubs sign him? its totally wrong for the direction that the cubs are going this year, and what Theosus is trying to do!~
