Gilbert promised he would win a title before LeBron. Since neither will ever get a title, was he correct? Or was he not wrong?

It might end up being a reverse push. Cavs get Anthony Davis then resign Lebron and they win the title.

No one has the first pick yet. Cleveland has the 3rd best chance to get the 1st pick.
Cavs have 4 1st rounders in the next 2 drafts, if Miami doesn't win a title this year or next, Gilbert may come out looking like a genius

The first pick, rarely goes to the worst team. In this case however, with the Bobcats being so bad, and Jordan being in charge, there might be a few extra balls in their favor, i.e. Knicks Ewing, Bulls Rose, etc.

If there is one team/guy who can mess up the most balls or number 1 pick it is his airness. Charlotte won't ever make the playoffs again under Jordan as long as he owns the team.

I think now we can conclusively say that Dan Gilbert jumped the gun.
In retrospect, LJ made the best possible decision for himself.

There are some absolutely fantastic fail threads getting bumped today.
