12 Lefties starting in NL tonight

12 lefties starting, only 2 right handers. Dont think Ive ever seen this before. The 2 righties that are getting the nod tonight are combined 0-8 on the year.

Not really sure what this means if anything but its pretty odd IMO.

NL OPS against righties for the year is .709
NL OPS against Lefties is .688

but break it down further by team

for instance the Cubs have only hit 1 HR in 215 ab's vs lefties. figure out what teams have Lefty hitting boppers. Nats don't hit lefties well at all! .576 OPS in 236 ab's

DT, I just went to espn.com mlb stats page. you can look at stats by team, player, league ect.

from there you can sort by vs RHP, LHP, and any number of other splits. home vs away, by position, even by position in the batting order. runners on, runner's in scoring position, runners on 2 outs, ect ect ect.

fangraphs actually will give you better stuff, but for quick and easy i'll use espn.com
