Yea, in slow-mo it looks like he had control... but in reality that was a HUGE blow and the reason his hand was seperated from his body was because of the blow. He had no possession at that point, his hand was moving away from his body and the ball was coming out.

the rule states if the ball is jarred loose before the runner is down it's a fumble....That was obviously the case. And even though it may have "been in his hand" did he ever regain possession? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Think about it this way....If that were a pass and a wide reciever they wouldnt have said he had possession with the ball in his hand and called it a completion.

Ed must be into the Mafia for something big, because he is doing his best to control the outcome of every single game he refs
