Put more in the IRA at this point and time.

With trades....saving up cash for when everything bottoms out once and for all.

Other than some inverse ETF's, I'm not smart enough to short stocks.

There is now a list of about 1000 financial stocks that you cannot short for the time being. Google it.

After the banking mess shakes out there will basically be 4 major national banks. Bank of America and Wells Fargo will be two powerhouses.....unrivaled. Guess thats the way the Government wanted it. I would like to have been a fly on the wall at the secret meeting between the Fed and these bank execs.

If you want long term success, grab your balls, and buy Fargo and BAC selectively. Limited off balance sheet exposure. They are positioned to dominate.....

I like Apple under a hundred a share.

If you want to go short....your about to miss the boat. Short retail stocks now. JCP Penny, etc. The smaller specialty clothing stores that you find in malls. Huge contraction in consumer spending. The 3rd quarter just ended and the results for these smaller more expensive retailers are going to be absolutely terrible. Also, this will be the next big target of hedge fund naking shorting since the financials are off limits.
