If you go to a currency Exchange they might have to make a couple calls...I know when I cash in my Illinois lottery checks for 1k and 5k they had to call and make sure it was real, and it's from the fkin lottery...

You DEFINITELY wont know instantly if the check is good at a check cashing place. If the check bounces, then they come after you to collect the money.
