we sit here and try to think of ways to end it, armed robbery, drugz, murder, and what not that fill this world full of greed and hate about 2 years i came up with this idea(which is probably stupid) but i posted it on a forum and got some decent insight and some blown off negatives ill see what you guys think
My senior year in government class my teacher posed for us to take a question and make a written response,
The prompt was " if i was president i would change....."
I said if i was president i could end 50% of all crime in the United States,
There have been reports and you guys no eventually its coming. With debit and credit cards completely taking over there's not really a huge need for cash anymore, some may ask is it even needed. In 2008 you wont find many places that wont accept debit or credit as a payment option, although some places charge fees for swiping that debit card. Reports have been made that at some point currency might no longer exist and it will all become electronic at some point
Think of a world with no cash. Hows The thug going to roll up to the liquor store and rob the cashier that has no money, hows that same guy going to mug a old lady that has a purse will no money in it. Hows that drug dealer going to sell his drugs? is he gonna say " hey you want some trees" kid "yea" dealer " well if you pull out your card and swipe it threw my debit card reader and agree to the 20 dollar charge ill sell you this sack"
getting rid of paper money in essence would probably eliminate 50% of crime off the streets
obviously there's always ways around things and credit debit cards can be stolen but there's a few kinks to work out
downfalls:
charities would obviously suck and if you lost your card you'd get a new one is 3-5 business days but like a spare key id assume you'd have more than 1 in a decent place.
thoughts?
