na i don't think it will be easy. its definantly going to be a grind and physical. any time any team gets a 2 goal lead in this series they will most certainly lock the game up but I do think the Kings will advance to the finals.
Phoenix can't keep getting out played so badly and keep winning series', just not possible. things have to even out.Comment -

I think PHX is going to have a much much harder time scoring against Quick, since they play like 70% of the game in their own zone on defense, than LA will have scoring against Smith.Comment -

Despite lower seed imo yotes are worse matchup than canucks or blues for the Kings. Tippett has been an assistant coach for the Kings in 99-02 and then coached 10 years in the same division as a head coach. He knows this team upside down and is more likely to exploit some weak spots that Kings might have...
Yotes are similar team to kings style wise but the big difference is much older lineup. They have a ton of 30+ yo players in their roster on key positions. If series goes the distance this could be a huge factor in favor of Kings...

It almost never does in the NHL playoffs.
This is a tough series to call. LA has the better talent but PHX has the better work ethic. Goaltending is a wash. I don't think LA will dominate PHX at any point. I think the series boils down to physical play and I don't consider either team all that aggressive. It'll come down to Brown vs. Doan.
If I had to pick I'd take PHX in 6 only because I think LA are still that offensively inept, lethargic team they were all season long and we'll get to see it now in full force.
Either way I don't think PHX or LA wins the Cup.Comment -
I agree Tippet is a great coach... but he has no inside advantage on the Kings. Darryl Sutter has a great game plan. These kids believe in Sutter and the proof is in the pudding. Home Ice won't mean much in this series. Kings should win.
