I actually like Houston against Pittsburgh. Rodriguez is pretty good. I like Atlanta (Hanson) +140 @ St. Louis. Angels (Weaver) +121. Toronto (Romero) -154. Couple dogs there that I feel are good value.

i like the Tigers too but its a very dangerous pick, especially with that chalk. if anyone hasn't noticed, Oakland is hot as hell. they are 2 games over .500 at 18-16 and are actually putting up a ton of runs recently while Detroit is slumping.

All these teams have either a quality starter, hot bats, strong relief pitching or playing a cold team that has had trouble winning. When a team playing poorly is favored, it reminds me of the investing concept of "never catch a falling knife--you only get cut".

I think these teams all have decent value.

I am on texas as well. One good thing is Weaver hasn't faced a team like the Rangers all year. Three out of Five of his wins are against the Twins and the the other two are wins over Oakland and the Orioles.
