I like the song but isn't it kindof a weird and morbid choice for Mother Day since Waters' is faulting the mother for her over-protectionist raising partly being at fault for the problems of the protagonist?

I blame a lot of my problems on my mom, just as I think Roger Waters is doing in this song.
Women are sick in the head. the way you raise your kids can have a severe and sometimes devastating affect on future social relationships.
It (the wall) cost roger his marriage and this epic band.

I think the last line of this song says it all:
