Online or at a casino. Never seen one, close a few times though.

I was. A year or two ago, playing at Carbon. I think it was $1/2.

I had an ace high flush. Two other guys had a straight flush. So I wasn't a winner, or a loser, I was just a participant at the table.

    I received $4800.

I can't remember the specifics, I think the loser might've got like $25,000, and the winner of the hand $14,000. Somewhere around those numbers.

It was a pretty awesome feeling, thinking I had the nuts, losing, and then getting paid off.

Nope but was in the same poker room when it happened a few years ago (Borgata in AC).....Some dude was taking a cigarette break at the table where it happened and was freaking out because he didn't get paid for it.....But the bad beat would have never happened if he didn't take a break in the first place.....I think a few of the guys threw him some money though in the end.......It wasn't that huge because it hit recently before that one but still crazy

Not part of one besides a same stake share for $50-$300, but lost a hand on UB with quad 7's playing both where quad 8's were needed to qualify. BBJ was over 600K. I've never been more upset losing $43 in my life.

to clarify, most of these were in San Diego where the bad beat jackpots are Aces full getting beat...so any pocket pair and AQ, for example, if the board is AA2A9, that qualifies as both players are using both holecards..the Q kicker plays for the quad Aces as it beats the highest card on the board...other than those, I have hit at the Station Casinos numerous times as well where if you're playing at any of their 8 or 9 pokerrooms and the badbeat is hit, you get a player's share...that one is quads getting beat but a lot of tables going in all their pokerrooms all times of the day

I have been the room where 4 jackpots have been hit, but never at my table. And these rooms dont pay out the room a players share, ONLY the winning table gets the money.

I saw a jackpot hit in a shorthanded game once with only 5 players currently playing. The jackpot was $270,000 and the bad beat winner got 135,000, the winner of the hand got 67,500 and the other 3 players got around $22,000 each.

I also saw a jackpot where the carryover was $320,000. Every seat in the room (25 tables) was taken and this was a REAL HIGH jackpot since this was with the older qualifications. Aces full of 10's beaten by 4 of a kind or better.

Here is where the unbelievable thing comes into play. First of all, the room had been full for about 4 days in anticipation of hitting this jackpot. With 25 tables going, this should never have gotten over $250,000. Well anyway, there was even a waiting list for tables and there was no guarantee that you could pick your table. Well anyway, they took 3 hours to pay this jackpot because of the following reasons.

Well it turns out that an old man had the bad beat. Then I noticed that an old lady next to him was the winner of the hand. Well they were of course married and their SON was also at the table! I mean $160,000 for the dad, $80,000 for the Mom and the son collected about $14,000 since the tables wasnt full at this time due to players being out

I have logged thousands of hours in live poker rooms, but I have never been a part of a jackpot. I was in a bad beat hand in a tournament though, but those dont count for jackpots since we dont pay into the pool
