love the team and the young talent but the offense is non-existent and the pitching nowhere near good enough to compensate for it. IMO they don't even have the bats to get hot and strasburg is so fragile i'm sure they are holding their breathe with just about every pitch.

They are to young... they will be good in the future, not yet though.. they wont make the playoffs, let alone go to the WS. Will be lucky to finish top three in their own division. Atl, Philly, Miami will all finish ahead of them

The wild card will ruin baseball again. The nationals deserve to be in the world series, but the wild card will probably strike again. The pirates will probably go on a tear, get the 2nd wildcard. Beat the Braves in the wild card playoff (you know, to avenge the 92 playoffs, even though most of the current pirates were like seven years old then). Then they'll breeze through the playoffs and find themselves in the world series wondering what the hell to do.

Last year the Phillies looked unstoppable and the wild card cards took it away from them.
