Iraq vet: The War was NOT a mistake

The liberation of Iraq will be one of President Bush’s greatest legacies.

I've long supported the idea that Bush indeed should have gone back into Iraq...George Herbert Walker Bush, #41, that is. The US and the rest of the nations who signed on to the first two resolutions regarding Iraq and its invasion of Kuwait should've gone right back in the moment Saddam Hussein blinked and started the business with the Kurds in the north and the balking with the UN Weapons inspectors back in 1992. But it was re-election time, and Bush Sr couldn't build a coalition strong enough to do so and didn't have the cojones to do it on his own.

If Sadaam was that much of a nuisance, which he seemed to be, then certainly we had to send a message which would be heard, understood and heeded. Maybe it was indeed necessary to remove him from power. But we needed an exit strategy. Occupation was just never an option. It frustrates me so much that the people running this country don't seem any more intelligent than the average joe six-pack voting these guys in. There has to be a better way to run this country. Why aren't the best minds in our nation working on these important issues? I'm convinced that they are anywhere other than at the leadership positions of our nation. What makes these jobs so bad that nobody worth a darn wants the job? What can we do to get better people into these positions of world leadership?

"Liberate" is a loaded word anyway. It's more like military and political occupation at the moment. I still want to see the slow-mo instant replay of how WMD's became "Liberation of Iraq". Good grief.

t's very busy. Many pizzas on the delivery rack. You get back and notice the oldest pizza is over an hour old, is a distant cheap single, and most likely a stiff. It is at least 30 minutes older than any other pizza there. Since it's very busy, no manager is paying attention to who takes what. You know that at least one driver and probably more have "snaked" out of taking this run. You're pissed.

Do you take it, or do you continue the snaking?

The next time someone wants to **** with the US... They are going to realize we ain't afraid to go it alone... and they know its the truth... They might talk the talk but when its obvious where its going, they will definately think twice before escalating it...

The only two countries that are a threat to the US is China and Russia...
