When one group that makes up less than 15% of the entire population of the country commits 80% of all the violent crime, it's pretty easy to marginalize them.

Could be wrong but I don't believe so. Far as I know they saw themselves as soldiers in a cause and didn't allow any women at all.

The stats I found reported that Blacks commit about 55% of the violent crimes. Not good, but not 80%.

Last time I checked, Justice Department figures stated that blacks commit around 78% of all violent crimes in the US.

Are you sure you're not just counting homicides? Violent crimes are more than just homicides. It includes rapes, robberies, assaults, etc. etc.

I'm going to have to do some research now.
